The fully blacked-out Emissary brings a sleek look to this popular family of 1911 pistols. Offered with a 5 match barrel and chambered in 45 ACP these handguns combine custom 1911 features and enhancements to offer shooters a serious defensive pistol with style. Finished in black Cerakote they boast Tri-Top cut slides with light-diffusing 40 LPI flat-top serrations. In addition the heavy-profile bull barrel delivers maximum accuracy and reduced muzzle flip. With a forged slide and frame for strength and durability the Emissary blends form and function seamlessly in a defensive-minded firearm loaded with custom-grade features. Now Springfield Armory has taken the precision and shootability of the 1911 and added modern optics integration direct from the factory. Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms the Agency Optic System (AOS) employs a series of plates fitting a wide variety of today's most popular optics following the RMR Shield Delta Point Pro and Docter footprints.
