Transfer fees are waived on all firearms purchased through our website!
If you purchase a firearm online and need it shipped to us for your background check, you can usually select Gun Trader Den from the seller’s approved FFL list during checkout. If we are not on their file, you can download a copy of our FFL at the top left of our website and email it directly to your seller.
Important Transfer Rules:
Transfer fees are strictly CASH ONLY and are charged per serialized item. If you pick up two guns on the same day, that is two separate fees.
To transfer or purchase any firearm, you must present a valid Florida ID or Driver's License.
The State of Florida mandates a 3-business-day waiting period for all firearm purchases. If you hold a valid Florida Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP), you are exempt from the 3-day wait, but you must still wait for your FDLE/FBI background check to clear. Valid concealed permits from other states do not qualify for the exemption. Please note that FDLE background checks stop processing promptly at 4:00 PM daily.
Gun Trader Den is not a firearm storage facility.
If you receive a denied or pending decision from FDLE on an in-store purchase, your order will be cancelled and you will be charged a 20% restocking fee (as outlined in our Return Policy).
If you fail a background check on a firearm transferred from another retailer, it is entirely your responsibility to arrange a return and refund with that retailer. If a transferred NFA item is disapproved, or if a standard transfer sits in a "Pending" state for more than 30 days, we will sell the item and pay you 50% of the proceeds after storage and transfer fees are collected.
If you fail a firearm background check or receive a decision pending the transfer fee will not be refunded as we have still completed the same process needed to transfer the firearm legally.No. By federal law, all firearms must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer, where you must complete a background check before taking possession.
Due to a significant rise in lost and delayed packages with shipping carriers, we have suspended all outgoing FFL shipments until further notice.
Occasionally, a manufacturer or distributor restricts certain items from being drop-shipped directly to the end-user or an outside FFL. If you want to purchase one of these items but cannot visit our shop in person, please call us to discuss alternative shipping arrangements.
For online orders and in-store inventory purchases, we accept cash and all major credit cards. Please note that all incoming FFL transfer fees must be paid in cash.
Absolutely. We love buying and trading for almost anything firearms-related. Whether you have a single item or are looking to liquidate a major collection, we are always buying. Give us a call anytime.
Yes. In most states, including Florida, silencers (suppressors) are entirely legal to own. They are regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA) and require an application process and a one-time $200 tax stamp fee paid to the ATF. You do not have to pay this tax yearly. For more detailed legal information, visit the Silencer Shop FAQ.
The Silencer Shop Kiosk is a piece of technology that makes purchasing and owning NFA items incredibly simple. It allows us to capture your fingerprints, demographic data, and Form 4 information entirely electronically. Once you are in the system, purchasing an NFA item is as simple as clicking a link—all the paperwork is generated and submitted for you.
Setting up your profile on the kiosk takes about 10 to 15 minutes. This is a one-time process. Once your prints and info are in the system, you never have to do it again unless your personal information changes.
If you purchase your suppressor directly through our Silencer Shop portal, using the kiosk is free.
If you purchase an NFA item from our in-store inventory or have one transferred in from another dealer, there is a $25 processing fee for us to compile your paperwork, execute the DocuSign, and submit it to the ATF (this is in addition to the standard NFA transfer fee).
